The frequently used content sharing menu has been revamped in iOS 26. Fundamentally, it operates the same and retains much of its previous layout, but it has been improved for better organization.

First, let’s discuss what remains unchanged. When sharing a photo, the top row of the sharing window still displays an AirDrop recipient followed by contacts automatically selected by iOS (though one can still request that a person appear less frequently, pinning someone to always appear at the top is not an option).

The second row continues to feature the AirDrop button for choosing additional recipients beyond the one previously suggested. This row also includes apps that users have set as favorites, alongside other apps recommended by the system.

Modifications appear at the third level. A new row emerges here, containing four actions that users can mark as favorites (such as Print, Copy, Add to an Album, etc.). All other actions, whether they are system defaults or from third-party apps, are still listed in a menu that varies in length depending on the number of installed apps.

Regarding the interface design, iOS now aims to display only these three rows when the Share view is opened. Users need to scroll to see the menu and additional actions. While not a significant change, this reorganization makes it easier to immediately see the main destinations and actions upon accessing this view.
