Test du Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 : ce téléviseur va-t-il vous surprendre ?
Xiaomi’s A Pro 2026 series aims to make QLED technology accessible to all with an affordably priced 55-inch 4K TV while providing a versatile experience suitable for various uses. Here’s our full review.

Xiaomi continues its approach of providing affordable, well-equipped TVs with the launch of the A Pro 2026 TV series. Recently, we had the opportunity to test the S Mini-LED TV series, which featured some compelling models. Now, we offer a full review of the 55-inch Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026, which aims to bring QLED technology (Quantum Dots with LED LCD backlighting), traditionally found in more expensive models, to a wider audience.

The A Pro 2026 series from Xiaomi stands out with its highly competitive equipment-to-price ratio: the 55-inch model is priced at 449 euros, whereas competitors often charge over 500 euros for similar specs. This series is available in 50, 55, 65, and 75-inch models.

Featuring a 4K UHD QLED panel (3840 x 2160 pixels), HDR10+ compatibility (starting from the 55-inch model), and Google TV, this television caters to those looking for an immersive visual experience without breaking the bank. Xiaomi targets households seeking a versatile TV that meets the needs of streaming, movie watching, and gaming. The manufacturer emphasizes color depth, aiming to present vibrant and true-to-life images, particularly with the integrated Filmmaker mode.

The TV’s comprehensive connectivity options and compatibility with the latest broadcasting standards enhance its appeal for connected households. The audio system utilizes two speakers.

This series appeals to a broad audience, from streaming enthusiasts to gamers, positioning itself against other QLED references like Samsung’s Q7F, TCL’s P7K and C6K, Hisense’s E7NQ Pro, and even Philips’ PUS9000 Ambilight. But does this 55-inch model live up to its promises against fierce competition, especially in the entry-level and mid-range QLED TV segment? That’s what we’ll explore in this review.

The review was conducted using a Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026 model provided by the brand.

Design and Connections of Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026

The design of the Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 in the 55-inch model focuses on simplicity and modernity, with a metallic-type finish under the screen that gives it a premium look.

The frame is relatively thin, maximizing the display area and enhancing immersion, whether for watching movies, series, or playing video games.

The TV blends seamlessly into any interior, whether placed on a cabinet or mounted on the wall (using a VESA 300×200 mount). The TV itself is not the thinnest, as it measures 7 cm thick at the bottom part.

The Y-shaped inverted feet, placed at the ends, provide good stability while maintaining a discreet silhouette. Height adjustment is not possible. The setup allows for an elevation of 6 cm, making it easy to slide a soundbar or other audio equipment under the screen without obstructing the view.

The overall build exudes quality, with meticulous assembly and materials that do not feel cheap, although the back of the TV remains plastic, as is common in this price segment. The feet are spaced 110 cm apart on the 55-inch model, and the depth is 32 cm.

Xiaomi has paid attention to the integration of logos and buttons, which remain unobtrusive and do not detract from the overall aesthetic. Oh, and don’t forget to press the button located at the infrared receiver at the center of the TV, underneath, during the initial power-up. The remote control is inactive before this step.

As for the connections on the Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026, there are three HDMI ports, one of which supports eARC for connecting a soundbar or home cinema amplifier, one USB 2.0 port for playing multimedia content or connecting peripherals, an Ethernet port for a stable wired Internet connection, a composite AV input for older devices, and an optical audio output. Additionally, it includes DVB-T2/C and DVB-S2 tuners, ensuring compatibility with digital terrestrial, cable, and satellite TV.

Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 ensure efficient wireless connections, whether for streaming, sharing content from a smartphone, or connecting audio accessories. Compatibility with Google Cast, Miracast, and Apple AirPlay 2 makes it easy to share videos, photos, and music from any mobile device, whether it’s an Android smartphone, iPhone, or computer.

Note the support for ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) technology via HDMI, which is beneficial for gamers seeking the best possible responsiveness. All ports are easily accessible, even when the TV is wall-mounted, which simplifies daily connection management.

The Remote Control

The remote control provided with the Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026 is compact and very lightweight. It fits perfectly in the hand and features a logical button layout, making daily navigation easy. The only downside is the placement of the Back button, surrounded by the button for returning to the main menu and another for accessing the TV’s settings. Usually, except at Xiaomi, it is positioned at the far left. It takes a bit of getting used to.

Additionally, it includes standard buttons for volume control, channel changing, accessing the main menu, as well as direct shortcuts to major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Xiaomi TV+ and Live TV (DTT) allow quick access to favorite content. A button is available for assigning a specific function, which is convenient: an app, Google Home, or the input menu.

A dedicated Google Assistant button is also present, enabling voice control of the TV, launching searches, or controlling compatible smart home devices.

The remote’s matte plastic finish is robust and resists fingerprints well. It is powered by two AAA batteries, which are easily replaceable. Unfortunately, it does not feature backlighting, which is always a bit of a letdown.

Image and Sound Quality of Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026

The Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 55-inch model features a QLED Ultra HD panel based on quantum dot technology, which allows for a wide color palette and better brightness management compared to traditional LED panels. With a claimed coverage of 94% of the DCI-P3 color space and a depth of 1.07 billion colors, this TV promises vibrant, nuanced, and true-to-life images, especially with the Filmmaker mode that respects the original settings of cinematic works.

HDR10+ compatibility enhances HDR content with improved contrast and finer details in both dark and bright areas. Note that this format is supported from the 55-inch model and up, but not by the 50-inch model in this series. Although the TV does not support Dolby Vision, which is reserved for the brand’s Mini-LED models, the HDR rendering remains relatively convincing for most content from streaming platforms or Blu-ray discs. Blacks are deep for an LCD panel, although they do not match those of Mini-LED panels. Additionally, colors maintain their intensity, even during very bright or very dark scenes.

The MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation) processing ensures appreciable fluidity during fast sequences, whether for sports events or action movies. Movements remain sharp, without annoying blur effects.

Viewing angles are decent, typical for this LCD technology.

In practice, the various image modes available (Standard, Vivid, Film, Sport, Game, Monitor, and Filmmaker) allow for easy adjustment of the display according to preferences and content type. The Filmmaker mode provides a softer and relatively natural image, ideal for movies and series, while the Film mode is also very close to this sensation.

During our tests with content from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and Blu-ray discs, the Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026 delivered an interesting visual experience, with vibrant colors, decent blacks, and good management of gradients. Images remain precise and detailed, even in complex or highly contrasted scenes. However, it must be acknowledged that this model struggles a bit with revealing details in dark areas.

It does not suffer from posterization effects, making color gradients quite coherent.

After numerous measurements, we noted a color fidelity above the threshold at which the human eye can no longer distinguish between the requested color and the displayed color. Indeed, the average Delta E is 4.73 with the Filmmaker mode activated. In Film mode, it’s even worse. Despite this, the average color temperature remains quite satisfactory, measured at 6401 K against an ideal value of 6500 K.

On this TV, we measured a peak brightness of only 288 cd/m², which is very low. For comparison, we measured the Samsung Q70D at 618 cd/m². Although it is slightly more expensive, it allows for better enjoyment of content in brighter environments. Here, we really recommend dimming the lights to enjoy it. Additionally, the tone mapping management is not the most optimal.

Surprisingly, with a 1% test pattern, the brightness is lower than with a 10% test pattern, which is identical when the screen is completely white.

Finally, color spaces are fairly well covered with a value of 71% for BT2020, the most demanding, while for DCI-P3, we noted 91.91%, which is acceptable.

For audio, the Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 55-inch relies on two 10 W speakers, for a total power of 20 W. This setup, combined with Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and DTS Virtual:X technologies, promises an immersive and dynamic sound experience, suitable for movies, video games, and music. The Xiaomi Sound system automatically adjusts sound effects based on the content being played, offering a faithful and balanced reproduction.

During our tests, the sound performance proved somewhat unconvincing, although voices remained clear and distinct. Bass is completely absent. The spatialization offered by DTS Virtual:X is also difficult to appreciate. Overall, the sound feels too hollow. It would be wise to pair it with a soundbar.

Gaming Performance of Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026

The Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 55-inch also caters to gaming enthusiasts, with several notable features for this use. Although the panel is limited to a native refresh rate of 60 Hz, the Game Boost mode allows for a simulated 120 Hz refresh rate at 1080p via HDMI, providing better fluidity during gaming sessions on consoles or PCs.

This feature, combined with the support for ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), ensures increased responsiveness, essential for competitive games or fast-paced action titles. Remember to set the HDMI ports to extended mode to take advantage of all optimization technologies.

Although the TV does not offer VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which is reserved for higher-end models, it remains quite suitable for most gamers, whether they are on next-gen consoles or PCs.

The dedicated Game mode optimizes image and responsiveness settings, minimizing unnecessary processing to prioritize display speed.

During our trials with various titles (FPS, racing games, platformers), the TV provided a smooth experience, with vibrant colors and good management of fast movements. Competitive gamers will find this model a reliable ally, although the most demanding players seeking VRR or native 120 Hz in 4K will need to look at more expensive models.

As for input lag, there’s nothing to complain about, as the TV offers an input lag of only 9.4 ms, which is extremely rare in this price range. The record is currently held by the Panasonic Z95A, a high-end TV that is much, much more expensive.

Interface of Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 2026

The Xiaomi TV A Pro 2026 55-inch operates under Google TV, the latest version of the interface developed by Google, which now replaces Android TV on most new models. This interface offers straightforward navigation and a rich app ecosystem.
