Samsung Unveils Revolutionary Crease-Free Folding Screen: See the Future of Smartphones!

Samsung dévoile un écran pliant sans pliure visible
For several months now, rumors have been circulating that Apple plans to adopt a Samsung-designed display technology for its upcoming foldable iPhone, which would feature an almost invisible central fold. At CES 2026, held this week in Las Vegas, Samsung showcased an “Advanced Crease-less” panel next to the display of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which was released in July of the previous year.

The exhibit has since been removed without any given explanation, but Sam Mobile managed to snap the following two photos and reported that “the new model does not show any visible crease. While last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7’s foldable OLED screen significantly minimized the visibility of the crease, it was still noticeable from certain angles. However, this does not appear to be the case with the new display from the South Korean manufacturer.”

In an interview with The Verge, a Samsung representative mentioned that “the foldable display showcased at the booth was a research and development prototype, with no specific timetable or marketing plan in place.” Could this be a hint at an announcement coming in September? The production of the internal screen for the foldable iPhone has reportedly started at Samsung Display, with a size of about 7.6 to 7.8 inches, possibly in a 4/3 aspect ratio. More details about the foldable iPhone, which is expected to be part of the upcoming iPhone 18 series, can be found in this article.
