Significant Camera Upgrades Expected for the Galaxy Z Fold 8
At first glance, it might seem that Samsung is playing it safe. According to the outlet GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will inherit the 200 MP main sensor from its predecessor. This is not particularly surprising, as the manufacturer typically upgrades this component only after several years. However, the scenario gets much more exciting when focusing on the auxiliary sensors.
The wide-angle sensor, in particular, is expected to jump from 12 MP to 50 MP, the same as the Galaxy S25. This upgrade should allow the smartphone to capture much higher quality macro photos and enable 8K video recording. The former 10 MP telephoto sensor is slated to be upgraded to 12 MP while maintaining a x3 zoom. Lastly, the selfie sensor will remain the same 10 MP found in the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
