Roborock F25 Ace Pro Review: Unleashing Foam Power on My Tiles!

Just as we were getting to grips with the F25 series, Roborock introduces the Ace Pro version. This cleaning device aims to do it all: vacuum, wash thoroughly, and introduce us to its new secret weapon: Jet Foaming. The Chinese manufacturer has developed a system that utilizes dense foam designed to break down even the toughest stains.

At first glance, the F25 Ace Pro makes its presence felt with its substantial size. It’s not as sleek as a Dyson, but Roborock embraces its professional tool aesthetic, similar to what we see with Mova, Dreame, Tineco, and others.

The unit is constructed from dense plastic, the assembly quality is flawless, and it feels like it won’t fall apart if it bumps into a skirting board.

The F25 Ace Pro benefits from several technologies already present in other Roborock models, such as the FlatReach 2.0 system. The vacuum can fully extend to 180°, with a clearance height of just 12.5 cm. It’s convenient—you no longer need to move the coffee table to clean yesterday’s crumbs under the sofa.

It is heavy and not the easiest to carry, especially if you need to move it up and down stairs. To offset its 6.7 kg weight, Roborock has incorporated SlideTech 2.0 technology, which includes motorized wheels that detect your movements every 100 ms. If you push, they assist; if you pull, they brake the inertia. It feels like the vacuum is floating over the floor despite its significant mass.

The LED display on the top is clear, though the battery level indicator, which shows increments of 20%, could be more precise.

The controls consist of three buttons on the handle and a trigger. Speaking of the trigger, it activates the notable JetFoaming feature. It’s intuitive and reminiscent of a pressure washer. The separate cleaning solution tank allows the machine to mix its concoction independently. It’s clean, straightforward, and you don’t get your hands dirty.

In “parking” mode, the device stands on its own—a small but essential detail when the phone rings in the middle of cleaning. When righted, it pauses; when unlocked with the foot, it resumes where it left off. There are no buttons to fiddle with; the operation is seamless.

If you turn the device upside down, you’ll see why it’s so effective. There is a massive roller flanked by the so-called JawScrapers. These shark-tooth blades continuously scrape the roller to cut through hair. Just behind, the imposing motorized wheels and small stabilization rollers for the flat mode complete an ultra-technical brush underside.

Edge-to-edge cleaning is available on three sides. Roborock claims 0 mm, and in practice, it truly cleans right up to the skirting boards. The annoying strip of dust that usually remains along the wall is now a thing of the past.

Finally, the 1-liter clean water tank is cleverly located directly on the brush head. This lowers the device’s center of gravity. Instead of having all the weight in your hands, you have a machine that “sticks” to the floor, making it much more stable and less tiring for your biceps.

The dirty water tank, located at the front, has a capacity of 720 ml. It can be removed with one hand thanks to a very well-designed ergonomic handle. Inside, Roborock has integrated a separation basket to isolate solid debris from liquids, preventing you from clogging your sink when emptying the gray water.

Finally, the absence of an entrance ramp at the station means you have to lift the device (4.7 kg).

In terms of suction, the 25,000 Pa power cleans up rice, sand, or cereals effortlessly on the first pass. The motor is incredibly stable and, even in Max mode, the noise level is kept to a modest 66 dB, which is outstanding. The power is there, but it’s intelligently harnessed.

The JetFoaming is a secret weapon. On a ketchup stain that has dried for 12 hours, the foam dissolves the dirt in record time. Where a conventional model struggles with five passes, the F25 Ace Pro gets the job done in just two. However, there is a reaction delay, which can lack precision for targeted stains.

For pet hair, the anti-tangle system is effective. The JawScrapers do their job: after a week of intense testing with a long-haired dog, the roller came out clean. Some debris or hair might get stuck, but overall, it remains highly effective.

In Auto mode, the DirTect sensor adjusts the power according to the dirt it encounters. You can hear the motor rev up as it comes across a particularly dirty area. However, you often end up using Max mode on the most stubborn stains just to enjoy watching the foam work its magic.

The real drawback is the battery life. Roborock promises 60 minutes, but in Auto mode with a bit of foam, expect about 26 minutes.

The DirTect sensor does its job well: it turns red when the floor is dirty and ramps up the power. But be warned, this significantly drains the battery.

Finally, the liquid suction is exemplary. The device leaves no water trails behind and, crucially, does not leak when lifted or turned off. The floor is almost dry within seconds.

The Roborock app is, as always, very comprehensive. You can precisely adjust the detergent dosage, the suction power, and even schedule self-cleaning cycles. A real plus is that it displays the exact battery percentage, which compensates for the lack of this information on the vacuum’s display.

Self-cleaning at 95°C is a real luxury. Once on its base, the device uses hot water to dissolve grease residues on the roller. It truly disinfects and prevents the spread of bacteria from one room to another.

The drying is equally efficient. The Quiet mode (30 min) is almost inaudible (50 dB) and returns a perfectly dry roller. For those in a hurry, the Express mode (5 min) blows hard but gets the job done. In both cases, the roller doesn’t get moldy and doesn’t end up smelling like a damp rag.

Filling the 1-liter tank is simple. The large capacity allows you to clean for an entire session without interruption. There are no leaks or splashes, and the design of the cap is simple and robust. It’s a daily convenience not found in entry-level models.

Emptying the dirty water tank is less of a chore thanks to the solid/liquid separator. You collect the hair and crumbs on one side, and toss the dirty water on the other. It’s sanitary and prevents clogs in your plumbing. A quick rinse with clean water and the tank is ready for another round.

The cleaning product compartment is separate. You pour the Roborock foaming solution into it, and the device manages the dosage. It’s much more convenient than having to make precise mixes in the clean water tank. It saves time and ensures more accurate cleaning.

Regarding filters, there is a standard HEPA filter located at the top of the dirty water tank. It’s washable with clear water, but be sure to let it dry for 24 hours before reinserting it; otherwise, the suction will be choked. Roborock includes a second filter in the box, allowing you to rotate them without interrupting your cleaning schedule.

Here’s where we encounter a sticking point: the battery. Unlike some competitors, it is fixed and non-interchangeable.
