Comment les aspirateurs robots Matter prennent leurs quartiers dans la Maison d’Apple

Update 05/09 — A reader in the comments has confirmed Matter support, so now the vacuum can be added to Apple’s Home app.

Original Article — The Roborock QV 35A Set robot vacuum is currently on sale at Amazon for its best price yet: €400, down from the official €600. This is a very reasonable price for a device that can automatically clean your home, handling both dust and other debris as well as mopping duties. The robot comes with a docking station that includes a clean water tank, and it autonomously manages its tasks: it will regularly return to the base to recharge, empty its tank, or wash and dry its built-in mops.

This recently released model has garnered a lot of highly positive reviews. Although it’s not as advanced as some higher-end products, it offers a lot for the price. The biggest question for us is related to home automation. Roborock is one of the manufacturers involved in Matter, the standard supported by Apple’s Home, but the QV 35A Set is not yet on the list of compatible products. While there are reports on Reddit (here and there) indicating that the manufacturer has released an update to add this compatibility, this information should be taken with caution.

Even without Matter, the Roborock QV35A is a strong contender if you’re looking to enter the world of robotic vacuums. At €400, you get a product that appears capable and offers many features previously reserved for much more expensive models, such as mapping your home which then allows you to request cleaning of specific rooms or adjust instructions based on different rooms.
