Preview the Upcoming Enhancements for iPads
The expected release of iPadOS 26 this autumn is set to enhance the functionality of the top iPads compatible with the new system.
The enhancements begin immediately with iPadOS 26, which will feature the new Liquid Glass aesthetic shared across Apple’s software ecosystem. A novel windowing system tailored for iPads will enable users to adjust and move applications as they prefer. Enhanced inter-app communication, powered by Apple Intelligence, will make these applications more effective.
Although the full version will only be available in the fall, Apple has already launched a developer beta of iPadOS 26 during the WWDC 2025, which took place on June 9. It’s important to note, however, that this beta version may contain bugs that could impact your device’s performance, so caution is advised.
If you’re hesitant to risk your iPad’s stability with the developer beta, consider waiting for the public beta, which is expected to be released in July. However, if you’re eager to explore, here’s the process to download the iPadOS 26 developer beta.
