L'Apple Vision Pro passerait à la puce M4 en fin d'année 2025

Upcoming Hardware Update for Apple Vision Pro Expected by Late 2025

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is poised to release the first hardware revision of the Apple Vision Pro by the end of 2025. Contrary to some speculations, the device will not incorporate Apple’s newest M5 chip, set to debut in Macs this fall. Instead, it will feature last year’s M4 chip. This update still represents a significant boost in power from the current M2 chip, especially with an enhanced Neural Engine for improved artificial intelligence applications.

Design Innovations and Future Plans

Apple is reportedly also designing a new headband that will better distribute the weight of the headset over extended use periods. The overall design of the headset, however, is expected to remain the same. A major redesign is scheduled for 2027, which is anticipated to significantly reduce the weight of the headset—and possibly the cost as well. The model set for release this year might see a slight reduction in weight, but it will be minimal.

In the meantime, Apple is said to be developing a wired version of the headset designed for low-latency performance when connected to a Mac, which would also harness the computer’s processing power. Additionally, the launch of Apple’s first display-less smart glasses is still on track for late 2026.
