Potential Sighting of AirPods Pro 3 in Apple’s Database
It appears that the upcoming AirPods Pro 3 may have been spotted within an Apple database. MacRumors has identified a new identifier, tagged as Bluetooth 8239, within a database that Apple employs for syncing its audio devices. This identifier is unfamiliar, contrasting with the identifier 8228 used for the AirPods Pro 2. This discovery hints at the impending introduction of a new product, likely the much-anticipated AirPods Pro 3. Nevertheless, there remains a possibility that these could be new Beats-branded headphones that have somehow evaded the rumor mill.
Apple Gears Up iOS 26 for New AirPods Pro Models
Apple has started preparations for iOS 26, which is currently in beta and scheduled for release in September, in anticipation of new AirPods Pro models. This update includes references to a feature that “requires Apple AirPods Pro 2 or newer”. However, the release date for the AirPods Pro 3 remains uncertain. While many expect a reveal in September alongside the iPhone 17 lineup, analyst Jeff Pu mentioned earlier this month that the AirPods Pro 3 might be delayed until 2026.
Major Upgrades Expected in AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 are rumored to feature three significant upgrades. Firstly, they are expected to include a new sensor capable of measuring heart rate, similar to the technology found in the recent Powerbeats Pro 2. Additionally, they will likely boast enhanced active noise cancellation technology and a new chip designed to improve energy efficiency, thereby extending battery life.
