Does Your Blood Type Really Reveal Your Intelligence, EQ, and Career Path? The Surprising Truth
The Find X9 Pro represents the latest iteration in Oppo’s most premium range. It encapsulates the pinnacle of Oppo’s technological expertise, especially in the realm of photography.
With the X9 Pro, Oppo has essentially started from scratch with a new design, a previously unseen SoC, and a revamped camera setup. This includes a novel configuration of sensors, featuring a 200 Mpx telephoto lens! This combination is likely to attract enthusiasts looking for a powerful smartphone with serious photographic capabilities. Let’s explore whether this new generation of the Find X series, priced at €1,099, has what it takes to shake up the high-end competition.
Technical Specifications
Design
The Find X9 Pro moves away from the imposing round camera blocks of its predecessors. Gone are the marbled effects of the Find X8 Pro’s back. In its place is a more understated, contemporary design that aligns more closely with current trends. The clean, bold lines are strategically curved to soften the overall look and improve ergonomics.
The front features a 6.78-inch flat OLED screen, with the selfie camera positioned in the central punch hole at the top. The ultra-thin 1.15 mm bezels, the thinnest ever achieved by OPPO, allow the screen to occupy just over 91% of the front surface.
The phone is framed with brushed aluminium edges. The aesthetic is refined and precise, and while the edges are flat, they curve slightly at the corners to make the device less sharp to hold. On the right, Oppo has positioned two buttons for volume and power, which are thoughtfully placed but may be too high for those with smaller hands. Further down, there’s a dedicated camera button that provides quick access to the camera, acts as a shutter, and doubles as a zoom dial.
On the left is the Snap Key, a programmable button that replaces the alert slider of previous models. By default, it triggers the Mental Space, an area that aggregates notes and captures for the user. On the bottom edge, you’ll find the speaker output, the USB-C port, and the dual SIM tray.

Despite its large screen, the smartphone remains relatively compact, measuring 161.26 × 76.46 × 8.25 mm. It is even slimmer than the X8 Pro, which was 8.34 mm thick. The weight is 224 g, evenly distributed. While there is a slight imbalance at the camera module, it is not bothersome in everyday use.
The back is beautifully smooth, covered in matte glass, available in pearl white, gray, or fuchsia pink. The texture is very pleasant, almost velvety. The only slight relief is the OPPO logo, which can be felt under the fingers.
The surface isn’t very slippery, but in hot weather or if your hands are wet, it’s better to secure your grip. Note that the flash is placed outside the optical block, directly integrated into the casing, just to the right of the camera module.
Oppo emphasizes the new positioning of this block, which now only integrates three sensors, compared to four on the X8 Pro.
Located in the upper left corner, it aims to bring more balance to the product while ensuring that the index finger does not too often come into contact with the lenses, which is only valid for right-handed users.
Visually, it’s a success with a camera block that seems to be sculpted from the chassis, rather than just being an addition.
When placed flat, the phone remains quite stable. Typing text in portrait mode is no problem. Even when interacting with the area above the virtual keyboard, the smartphone barely tips. Just avoid pressing too hard on the screen.
In hand, it’s a flawlessly finished object, with impeccable assembly, and materials that exude quality. The device also boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications. Add Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to the screen and back, and we have a dandy that is as attractive as it is resistant.
Display
Oppo equips its X9 Pro with a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO panel featuring a resolution of 2272 × 1272 pixels, equivalent to 450 ppi. Thus, we get an extremely fine display, even if you opt for the alternative resolution of 2354 × 1080 pixels. This setting is present to reduce power consumption and is set by default. Therefore, you need to go into the settings to achieve the most precise rendering. The refresh rate is dynamic, ranging from 1 to 120 Hz.
Three color modes are available: Standard, Natural, and Vivid. Our measurements, conducted with our probe and Portrait Displays’ CalMAN Ultimate software, reveal that Vivid mode offers the best balance. The average Delta E is 3.1, for a reference value of 3. The color temperature reaches 6992 K, against an ideal value of 6500 K, which results in a slight shift towards the blues, especially noticeable in white or very light areas.
In terms of color coverage, the display achieves 148% of BT.709, 99% of DCI-P3, and 67% of BT.2020. While not the best screen in this price range, it is comfortably within the good average.
Oppo announces a minimum brightness of 1 nit for night use and a peak of 3600 nits. In practice, we measured 1134 nits in SDR and 1330 nits in HDR. This is decent, but far from the 3180 nits achieved by the Xiaomi 15T in HDR, for example. For a smartphone at this price, it remains within the good average, but nothing more. In use, readability is very good on a daily basis. You need to be in full sunlight or have a very strong light source behind you to really hinder viewing. As for HDR content, it’s best to be in dim light, or better yet, in complete darkness to fully enjoy it.
Lastly, OPPO incorporates an adaptive display designed for car journeys. The goal is to compensate for the movements of the car, to reduce motion sickness. Since we didn’t have a licensed passenger on hand, this point remains to be verified.
Performance
At the heart of the Find X9 Pro, OPPO integrates the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. This SoC is manufactured using a 3 nm process and features 1 core at 4.1 GHz, 3 at 3.5 GHz, and 4 at 2.7 GHz. It also includes new instruction sets dedicated to AI. A powerhouse on paper that has everything to compete with the latest generations of Snapdragon… at least on paper…
As for raw power, the benchmarks speak for themselves. We have excellent results across the board. Android runs like clockwork, as do heavy apps. Thus, for manipulating 3D objects, editing 4K video, or photo retouching, the Find X9 Pro is always responsive, showing no signs of slowdown.
In everyday use, it’s a flawless performance, and we have equally positive results in gaming. For instance, Fortnite runs at 120 fps, on low graphic quality, and never drops below 110 fps, even during intense action. In Epic graphics mode, the 60 fps remains quite stable, with slight drops to 57 fps when the screen is busier.
The same goes for Genshin Impact or Call of Duty, where the 120 fps in medium quality and 60 fps in ultra quality are maintained without faltering.
However, not everything is perfect, as this Dimensity 9500 suffers from severe throttling. When we really call on all the SoC’s resources, 100% power is maintained for about ten minutes before dropping to 80%. After 20 to 30 minutes, the available power falls to 70-60%, and after 40 minutes, we are left with only 50% power available.
Despite this, heat is present, but the X9 Pro’s vapor chamber ultimately does its job well. The temperature reaches at worst 40 to 42 °C in the area to the right of the camera block. The heat is noticeable, but the phone does not become burning hot.
Throttling is felt during long gaming sessions. Thus, Fortnite or Genshin Impact maintain 60 fps in maximum graphic quality without difficulty… for 20 minutes. Afterward, the framerate drops to 50 fps, and after 30 minutes, we fluctuate between 38 and 45 fps.
The same applies to 4K encoding; the initially announced time is extended if the task exceeds 20 minutes. The verdict is therefore mixed: the loudly touted power is ultimately not available over the long term. However, for everyday use, with occasional peaks of power, this drop in performance will go unnoticed.
Software
The Find X9 Pro runs on Android 16, dressed in the ColorOS 16 overlay. An interface that remains as pleasant as ever in daily use and especially rich in options.
Users can customize almost every detail: application drawers of variable size, wallpaper, theme, and even icons can be tailored to your tastes. One downside, however, is the presence of about ten bloatware apps, unjustifiable at this price level.
Artificial intelligence is indeed omnipresent, but without being intrusive. In addition to Gemini and Surround for searching, OPPO also offers its own writing assistance tools. The interface’s sidebar provides quick access to applications, and especially to AI-related writing tools such as Summary AI, Translation AI, and Speech AI. Add to that AI Space, a hub intended to centralize your screenshots, annotations, and content.
Its goal is to organize all these elements automatically and to suggest related actions, such as adding an appointment in Calendar after a voice memo or a capture of an email. On paper, it’s promising. In practice, the tool still lacks reliability to convince.
Don’t forget to go through the Settings to configure the Snap Key, whether to launch a capture, the photo app (also programming the shooting mode), or to access AI Space.
In the realm of imaging, in addition to Erase AI, we have the Remove Reflections function.
The result is not perfect, but the processing proves quite effective; however, the rendering remains very random but may sometimes save shots.
The Sharpen function is also available, although the effect is barely noticeable in complex, detail-rich areas.
However, in simple scenes or on printed characters, the result can be striking. These are nevertheless auxiliary tools, which do not perform miracles, but can make a difference.
For selfie enthusiasts, the Shooting function allows the app to search in your photos for different variants of the photographed face.
It then allows you to replace the face with one of its variants. The tool is quite effective, but requires working on photos where the subject is facing the camera, and having enough different photos of the faces shot in your gallery. Oppo offers other tools like Studio AI, which generates illustrations of various styles from your photos.
As for the update policy, we are entitled to 5 years of Android and 6 years of security patches.
Photography
For its new Find X9 Pro, Oppo revises its photography setup with:
- A 50 Mpx wide-angle sensor with an f/1.5 aperture,
- a 50 Mpx ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.0 aperture,
- and a 200 Mpx telephoto lens with an f/2.1 aperture.
We, therefore, have a solid configuration and expect a lot from the telephoto lens. To complete this overview, we have a 50 Mpx selfie camera at the front with an f/2.0 aperture.
Wide-Angle
In broad daylight, the wide-angle sensor delivers excellent results. The colorimetry is natural, without notable deviations. The contrasts are precise, with a nice finesse in the processing of details and micro-details. The former are numerous and generally well preserved. Even when zooming into the image, the precision remains.
For micro-details, textures are very well rendered. Whether it’s foliage, rocky surfaces, or fabrics, the perception of materials remains sharp and nuanced. Light management is controlled, and we did not observe any overexposure phenomena.
At night, in really dark environments, the sensor forces the light increase. This sometimes results in a colorimetry that is brighter than reality and a somewhat artificial rendering. However, the processing remains clean, even if the details are less prominent.
