Exploring Apple’s Latest Developments
In their latest exploration of Apple’s internal code, the team at MacRumors uncovered details about the S11 chip architecture set to be featured in upcoming Apple Watch models next month. During this deep dive, they also discovered references to three new smartwatch models: the Apple Watch Series 12 in both GPS (N237) and cellular (N238) versions, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4 (N240). These models are expected to hit the market in September 2026, but so far, there have been no rumors about their advancements.
Consistent Annual Releases
Apple has a history of launching new watch models every September, so this revelation isn’t particularly shocking. However, it does confirm that Apple likely won’t be taking a break next year from releasing its premium models. For instance, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has been on the market for two years, suggesting a pattern of biennial updates. Additionally, it appears there won’t be an immediate successor to the Apple Watch SE 3, which is scheduled for release next month, indicating it will remain in the lineup for at least another two years.
