During the bustling IFA event, Motorola unveiled two highly affordable smartphones. Priced under 200 euros, these devices boast a comprehensive spec sheet and promise a well-rounded user experience. But how accurate is this promise? We’ve delved into their specifications to find out.

On September 5, 2025, the IFA trade show in Berlin opened its doors, offering a peek at the latest innovations across various tech sectors: TV, audio, smart home technology, PCs, and gaming. In our reports, you can find several announcements from brands like Dreame, Acer, TCL, and others. However, some announcements went relatively unnoticed. Among them was the official launch of two Motorola smartphones and the Swarovski edition of the Razr 60.

The two new phones are named Moto G06, the successor to the Moto G05, and Moto G06 Power. These are both budget-friendly devices, with prices set below 200 euros. The former is priced at 129 euros, slightly less than its predecessor, while the latter is available for 179 euros. At this price point, they naturally bridge the gap between the E and G series and offer a balanced experience backed by a full spec sheet.

What’s Inside a Motorola Priced Under 200 Euros?

What has Motorola included in these two smartphones to fulfill their promise? The specifications of both devices are indeed well-rounded. They feature a large 6.9-inch IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The frame is splash-resistant (IP54 rated). The phones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor, an energy-efficient CPU that supports Android 15. Their main camera is a 50 MP unit with phase detection autofocus. Additionally, they include dual speakers and support Dolby Audio.

The design follows Motorola’s usual aesthetic: a back panel made of polycarbonate or silicone, an elegantly integrated camera module, a waterdrop notch, and a Gorilla Glass 3 mineral glass screen. There are four key differences between the G06 and the G06 Power: battery capacity (5200 mAh and 7000 mAh respectively), maximum charging power (10 watts and 18 watts), as well as differences in weight and thickness. The only real disappointment with these products is their availability: the Moto G06 and the Moto G06 Power will not hit the stores for several months. By then, let’s hope they haven’t been forgotten…
