As expected, OnePlus unveiled three new products today, including the OnePlus 15R, a new smartphone that offers impressive performance at a highly competitive price. Its specifications, quite robust, are somewhat similar to those of the OnePlus 15. However, its price doesn’t exceed 800 euros, even for the top-spec variant. Alongside the phone, the company also introduced a watch and a tablet. Here are the key details from these announcements.

A few days ago, we shared a brief initial impression of the OnePlus 15R, a “lighter” version of the OnePlus 15. This version cuts back slightly in terms of camera and processor capabilities. In exchange, OnePlus promised a competitive price, though specifics were not provided at the time. Our early impressions were favorable. The exact pricing and the extent of the compromises were to be revealed on December 17, 2025.

Today is December 17. It’s time to dive deep into the OnePlus 15R, as well as to look at two other products: the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and the OnePlus Watch Lite. It is clear that the OnePlus 15R is the star of today’s lineup. Here’s why we will focus on it in this article. However, we will also give a brief overview of the other two products at the end, should you be curious.

The OnePlus 15R is especially a great deal at this price

The OnePlus 15R is a premium smartphone. It’s not quite as high-end as the OnePlus 15 but significantly more advanced than, say, a OnePlus Nord. Many of its specifications were already public, including the SoC, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a massive 7400 mAh battery, 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, and a display that shines at 1000 nits brightness with HDR content. Here are some additional details that might interest you:

  • AMOLED LTPS 1.5K display with 165 Hz refresh rate, 6.83 inches
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor
  • 12 GB of RAM and options of 256 GB or 512 GB storage
  • 7400 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging
  • Dual 50 + 8 MP rear cameras, optical stabilization on the main sensor
  • 32 MP front camera
  • Supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C, NFC, 5G
  • Android 16 and OxygenOS 16
  • 2.0 audio system
  • IP68/69K certification

This spec sheet is quite balanced. However, two elements are slightly disappointing. Firstly, the absence of LTPO technology in the display. While the 7400 mAh battery ensures great battery life, it could have been even better without compromising on smoothness. Secondly, the lack of an optical zoom is a miss. Other phones in the 600 to 800 euro range include one. Relying solely on digital zoom is a bit risky, even as Samsung offers optical zoom at this price point (with the Galaxy S25 FE)… Now, let’s discuss the pricing. Here are the prices for the two configurations of the OnePlus 15R:

12 + 256 GB: 699 euros

12 + 512 GB: 799 euros

Note that the OnePlus 15R is 70 euros cheaper than the OnePlus 13R (769 euros for the 12 + 256 GB model): this is very aggressive pricing. The phone is available in two colors. Pre-orders start today, and the phone will be available on the OnePlus website from January 21. Until this date, OnePlus is offering a 100 euro cashback (making the 512 GB version the price of the 256 GB one) and includes two accessories: a charger and a choice between headphones or a protective case.

OnePlus also unveils a tablet and a smartwatch

Moving on to the other two products announced today. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is a large-format tablet (12.1 inches) that’s relatively affordable (349 euros or 449 euros). It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7700 Ultra chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and storage options of 128 or 256 GB. It comes with a 10050 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It has dual 8-megapixel cameras (rear and front) and is compatible with a stylus (sadly sold separately). Pre-orders start today and will last for only a week. Special offers are available until January 31, 2026.

Lastly, the OnePlus Watch Lite is an affordably priced mid-range watch that covers the essentials in health and fitness. It has a thickness of 8.9 mm and weighs 35 grams. Its case is certified IP69 and 5ATM. It features a 1.46-inch circular AMOLED display. For sensors, it includes a heart rate monitor, an oximeter, a thermometer, and an ECG. It supports 100 sports activities and includes dual GPS for runners and cyclists. Lacking WearOS, this watch boasts an impressive battery life of up to 10 days. A notable feature is its ability to pair with two smartphones, whether they are Android or iPhone models. Its price: 179 euros. Pre-orders begin today, with availability scheduled for December 24.
