Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller Review: Does This Self-Cleaning Mop-Vacuum Robot Deliver?

October 22, 2025

Test du Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller Complete : que vaut le robot aspirateur laveur à la serpillière qui reste propre ?
Dreame has applied the principle of mopping vacuums to its new robot, equipping it with a roller mop that is continuously rinsed during cleaning. In this comprehensive test, let’s see what this innovation brings in practical terms and whether it truly offers better performance in everyday use.

The Aqua10 Ultra Roller, Dreame’s new robot vacuum mop, features a roller mop similar to those found on mop brooms, as well as on models like the SwitchBot S10 and the new Ecovacs Deebot X11 Omni and Mova Z60 Ultra. This mop has the advantage of being constantly cleaned, thus preventing the spread of dirt.

The product doesn’t stop there; it also boasts impressive features such as a suction power of 30,000 Pa, a retractable LiDAR for easy maneuvering under low furniture, enhanced dirt and obstacle detection powered by AI, and brushes that extend to clean along baseboards.

With such promises, let’s see how it performs on floors that are daily dirtied by a mischievous four-legged friend, who delights in leaving paw prints in its wake.

A Modern Design with Lower Height

Breaking from its usual design, Dreame has opted for a bulkier and shorter format, featuring right angles that contrast with the brand’s usual aesthetic style.

The station and the robot are both white, while a gray ridged panel adds a bit of contrast on the front. Below this panel, a removable hatch conceals the dust bag and a dual detergent reservoir, allowing for the use of two different cleaning solutions. The lower part features a fixed washing board, with only the filter removable. Water tanks are located on the top, discreetly hidden under a foldable cover.

The robot itself appears quite standard at first glance. Its circular design and white color make it unobtrusive, as does its retractable LiDAR dome surrounded by a colored LED circle, which makes it more visually appealing and modernizes the overall look.

At the front, there is a vision module with two cameras and an LED, enabling the robot to effectively detect dirt and obstacles. The lower part is somewhat unusual, as it features not only a double suction brush but also an extendable mop roller, the main feature of this model. The robot also has a side brush that can extend to better clean along baseboards and into corners.

Dreame typically sells its robots as a Complete version in our regions, and the Aqua10 Ultra Roller comes with numerous replacement accessories, including dust bags, brushes, standard detergent, and pet detergent, etc. This reassuring approach means you don’t have to worry about consumables for a long period, adding to the product’s practicality.

Overall, the build quality is good, though the finishes on the station might be slightly lacking for a high-end model.

An Exceptionally Well-Designed App

The Dreame app is one of the most comprehensive, offering numerous customization options. During initial use, it allows you to pair the robot with your account and map your home. The robot’s numerous sensors enable it to identify the type of room, automatically differentiating between the kitchen and bedroom, for example. However, despite its advanced sensors, it mistakenly identified my outdoor terrace as an indoor area, even though the patio doors were closed at the time of mapping.

Once the map is ready, you can modify it as you wish, by merging or splitting rooms, renaming them, or adjusting the furniture on the map, the floor covering, and even indicating door thresholds, rugs, and curtains. The robot can also handle multiple maps, which is useful if your home has several floors.

From the main screen, you can check the robot’s status and the status of the last cleaning. The map shows the path taken and any obstacles encountered along the way.

To start a cleaning, you can use the CleanGenius mode and let the robot automatically adjust the cleaning settings based on the dirt level and types of rooms. This can be started in standard or deep cleaning mode, with the option to vacuum and mop simultaneously or successively.

If you prefer, you can also do it manually, choosing whether the robot should vacuum, mop, do both, or one after the other. For each mode, you can adjust the suction power, the moisture level of the mop, the pressure it applies, how often it is washed in the station, and whether the robot should follow a standard or quick route. You can even create a cleaning routine where the robot vacuums some rooms while it vacuums and mops others.

In addition to these simple adjustments, the app offers numerous settings that you can manage as you see fit. For example, you can specify whether the robot should avoid rugs, cross them, or simply lift the mop. It is even possible to disable the side brush on carpets or to raise the chassis of the robot. The same applies to many other elements, such as adjusting the retractable LiDAR, automatically re-cleaning dirty areas, cleaning in the direction of the floor, etc. You can also define the mode for crossing thresholds with the robot’s small legs, as well as the behavior of the side brushes.

The station settings are also customizable, with the option to select the amount of detergent, as well as the temperature and intensity of washing and drying the mops.

A pet mode is also available, allowing the robot to adjust its cleaning behavior, especially around the feeding bowl, and to use a specific detergent, as well as indicating where your pet likes to sleep on the map of your home and to take a picture of it as it passes by.

Finally, in addition to these numerous functions, the robot also serves as a surveillance camera, allowing you to control it remotely and view the live video feed, while benefiting from bidirectional audio, all encrypted, of course.

In addition to the app, the Dreame Aqua10 Roller Complete is compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant. It also includes its own assistant, allowing you to interact with it by voice without using third-party speakers. This feature is somewhat lacking and struggles to understand instructions, but it is worth noting its existence.

The robot is also compatible with the Matter protocol, making it easy to integrate into a smart home ecosystem.

A Cleaning That’s a Bit Too Thorough

The Dreame Aqua10 Roller Complete is particularly well-equipped to tackle any type of dirt. To remove dust, it benefits from a suction power of 30,000 Pa, combined with a double main hybrid brush, made of rubber and nylon filament, that picks up dirt deeply, both in joints and on carpets. The side brush is extendable, allowing it to collect dust in corners, along baseboards, and around furniture legs.

For wet mopping, the robot uses a 26 cm roller mop, a new feature for the brand. This can be washed in boiling water at 100 ºC before, during, and after each cycle. Moreover, it is constantly scraped to prevent it from spreading dirt during cleaning. Additionally, 12 nozzles moisten it with clean water and detergent, ensuring optimal cleaning. It also applies a pressure of 11 N to the floors, allowing it to easily remove dirt. Dreame has also developed a FluffRoll technology, which consists of a second small roller that rubs the fibers of the mop in the opposite direction, allowing them to relax and thus better absorb dirt.

On carpets, the robot automatically boosts its suction power, while raising its mop to avoid wetting them. It can also raise its chassis if necessary, and even cover the mop with a kind of flap, to prevent it from coming into contact with the carpets.

In practice, the results are generally good. After the robot’s pass, the floors are clean and well cleaned, with no visible dust or stains. I put the robot to the test by having it clean floors dirtied by my dog’s wet paw prints, sauce splatters, and all kinds of spills, not to mention the dust and sand that settle after a long walk in the forest. In a single pass, the floors appear clean and free of dirt, dust, and stains.

In the event of a liquid spill, the robot recognizes the puddle and first cleans it with the mop only, before returning to wash it and resume cleaning. As for the spilled sauce, the Dreame Aqua10 absorbs it in a single pass, without leaving traces or spreading it, thanks to its scraped and water-moistened mop during cleaning.

However, corners are not cleaned well enough, especially the kitchen baseboards. Indeed, I noticed that the robot did not approach them closely enough, and the extendable brushes did not reach the ends of the baseboards. We will come back to this slight flaw later, but the result under the kitchen baseboards was overall quite questionable, unlike the rest.

In case of dirt detection, the robot can automatically trigger a second cleaning of the entire room and not just the dirty area, which tends to make the cycle last much too long and use an astronomical amount of water. I also noticed that in CleanGenius mode, the robot was unable to clean a complete floor of 60 m². Indeed, not only was the battery autonomy insufficient to clean it without a recharge break, the water tank ran out too soon, requiring my intervention. This is a recurring problem with Dreame models, which fortunately can be easily bypassed by switching to manual mode to adjust the cleaning settings yourself.

The noise level is average, with about 65 dB at one meter, which is audible, without interfering with a conversation or preventing you from watching television.

Reliable Navigation

Overall, the navigation and obstacle detection of the Dreame Aqua10 are reliable. To find its way, the robot uses a retractable LiDAR dome, which allows it to position itself and move autonomously, while being able to lower it to pass under low furniture. Thus, its height is reduced to only 98 mm, allowing it to pass more easily under certain furniture. However, this is still much higher than the 80 mm of the Roborock Saros 10R, which passes much more easily under kitchen baseboards.

In general, the robot moves without difficulty and did not get stuck during my tests, even though I find its routes sometimes questionable. Indeed, it prefers to zigzag between the legs of stools to go into the kitchen, rather than go around them and take a much clearer path. Moreover, even though it is capable of retracting its LiDAR and although it is set to maximize the covered area, the Aqua10 sometimes struggles to slip under furniture or kitchen baseboards about ten centimeters high, thus limiting access and cleaning of these areas.

However, where it performs better than the competition is in crossing thresholds, as it is equipped with two small pneumatic legs to overcome obstacles up to 8 cm high, such as double thresholds and small steps. The system works very well, allowing the robot to clean where others could not access.

Obstacle detection is ensured by a stereo camera system, allowing it to detect obstacles and avoid them, while being able to approach them closely enough to maximize the covered area. In practice, the Aqua10 performs very well, avoiding cables, toys, shoes, and other objects that may be in its path. It also takes care to photograph them and indicate their position on the map. Dreame has also improved because the robot now takes into account the removal of obstacles during cleaning and returns to clean if it has been cleared before the end of the work.

Easy Daily Maintenance, But Complex in the Long Run

The daily maintenance of the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller is quite simple and quick, since the station takes care of most of the maintenance tasks. Indeed, it can automatically empty the small dustbin of the robot into the base bag and even dry it at 50 ºC to avoid bad odors. The station also takes care of washing the mop in hot water up to 100 ºC and drying it with hot air at 70 ºC, helping to minimize the proliferation of bacteria and bad odors.

It also has a dual integrated detergent reservoir, allowing you to automatically add your choice of detergent, allowing you to choose between a standard detergent and a special pet one, without having to do it manually each time you fill the reservoirs. However, these require a bit too much attention for my taste, especially since cleaning is very water-intensive, particularly in CleanGenius mode. Larger tanks would probably have avoided having to fill and empty them so often, which makes the experience a bit disappointing on a daily basis, since the robot can barely cover 60 m² before having to empty and fill the 4 and 3.5 L reservoirs.

The maintenance of the station is quite time-consuming, since only the filter is removable and can be easily cleaned in the sink. For the rest, the washing base must be cleaned manually. Fortunately, an option in the app allows the robot to leave the station so that the base fills with water. You just have to scrub it with the provided brush and let the station automatically evacuate the dirty water, somewhat simplifying the process.

However, the maintenance of the robot is a bit more complex. Indeed, even though the double roller brush and the side brush are designed to minimize hair and pet hair entanglements, these tend to wrap around the mop and especially the small roller of the FluffRoll system, to the point where it got stuck several times during my tests. The same is true for the main wheel, around which pet hair and human hair easily tangle.

The removal of the mop, the flap that prevents wetting the carpets, and also the small roller are quite complex and require delicate handling, at the risk of breaking one of the components while trying to replace them. The increase in the number of parts also means that maintenance is more complex and requires more time.

Overall, maintenance remains simple, but requires a bit more attention than on other models, and a simpler approach would have been appreciated.
