WhatsApp Feature Simplifies Data Transfer Between iOS Devices
For several months, WhatsApp has offered a feature that allows users to quickly transfer all their conversation history from one iPhone to another. Similar to the transfer feature to Android, this functionality includes the migration of all data associated with your account, including multimedia content. The process takes just a few seconds to complete. However, there is a limitation: call history and media received through a WhatsApp chain are not supported, according to the messaging service.
Before you start transferring your data from one iPhone to another, make sure that your WhatsApp application is updated, your operating system is also up-to-date, and that you are using the same phone number on both devices. In a help page, the messaging service also advises to plug your devices into a power source, connect them to Wi-Fi, and refrain from registering “your new phone on WhatsApp until you have begun the migration on your old phone”.

During the entire procedure, keep your devices side by side, unlocked, and do not exit the WhatsApp application. It is possible to pause the transfer at any time.
