Sosh, RED, Free, and now B&You each offer a 2€ plan with included data. While these plans appear similar, there are some key differences to consider.

B&You has modified one of the smaller plans previously available in the Bouygues Telecom lineup by excluding 5G (available as an add-on) and the 24-month contract requirement. This has resulted in a 4G plan offering 2 hours of calls and 1GB of data (also available in Europe and overseas departments) for just 1.99€. Adding 5G costs an additional 3€, but this might not be worthwhile considering the data allowance.

This plan could be appealing as a starter package for a first mobile phone, though users should monitor their data usage since the plan is not capped.

Other carriers have similar offerings, which might be more beneficial, especially in terms of call time if 2 hours proves insufficient.

  • SFR RED offers a 4G plan that includes 2GB of data (also valid in Europe and overseas departments) and unlimited calls and SMS/MMS for 1.99€. An additional 3€ upgrades the plan to 5G, though for a small data volume, a higher-tier 5G plan might be more suitable;
  • Free Mobile continues to provide a 4G plan with 50MB of data for use in Europe/overseas departments, 2 hours of calls, and unlimited SMS/MMS for 2€. Freebox subscribers get this plan for free. Additionally, there’s an option called “booster” that adds 1GB of data usable in France and unlimited calls at no extra cost;
  • Sosh also has a 4G plan with 1GB of data (available in Europe and overseas departments) for 1.99€, which includes unlimited calls and SMS/MMS.
