Steve Jobs honoré sur une pièce commémorative de 1 dollar
Since 2018, the United States Mint has been issuing annual $1 coins that celebrate American innovation. Each year, four states have the opportunity to commemorate an innovation, an innovator, or a group of innovators. In 2026, California will feature its commemorative coin, and Steve Jobs has been selected to represent the Golden State.

The design features a young Steve Jobs seated against a backdrop of the rolling, oak-studded hills typical of Northern California. His posture and expression, captured in a moment of contemplation, depict how this environment fueled his vision to transform complex technology into something as intuitive and natural as the environment itself. The inscriptions read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “CALIFORNIA”, along with “STEVE JOBS” and “CREATE SOMETHING WONDERFUL”.

The coin will be available for purchase next year on the US Mint website, which offers international shipping. Based on current models, the price is set at $13.25 for a coin in “Proof” quality, and with shipping costs included, the total comes to $38.05 for delivery to France.
