Galaxy S26 Edge

New images of the Galaxy S26 Edge reveal the smartphone’s design, taking over from the Galaxy S26+. We learn about its camera block, magnets, sleekness, and battery enhancements.

The leaks surrounding the Galaxy S26 series are increasing. Recently, mockups of the three models in the series (S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra) have shown us the new design of the camera blocks and the inclusion of magnets for MagSafe-like wireless magnetic charging. Today, thanks to computer-aided design (CAD) renders shared by Android Authority in collaboration with the renowned OnLeaks, we get a detailed look at the Galaxy S26 Edge.

The most significant design change is noticeable at the back. A large camera block spans the entire width of the smartphone, similar to what Apple plans to introduce with its iPhone 17 Pro. However, the device only features two lenses, similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge, and these are not particularly large. Samsung plans to utilize this space to incorporate additional components.

A Slimmer Galaxy S26 Edge with a Larger Battery

The front of the S26 Edge shows minimal evolution. It features a central punch-hole for the selfie camera and slim bezels around the 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED flat screen. The edges are flat, and the corners rounded. It is expected to measure approximately 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5 mm (10.8 mm at the camera block), making it even thinner than its predecessor, which was 5.8 mm thick.

The source also confirms that the Galaxy S26 Edge will indeed be 100% compatible with Qi2, featuring integrated magnets to support magnetic charging. This functionality allows the phone to align more effectively with the wireless charging pad and to attach accessories to the back, such as an external battery or a cardholder.

Despite its slim profile, the S26 Edge is expected to see its battery capacity increased from 3,900 to 4,200 mAh, hopefully leading to improved battery life. It should be noted that this model replaces the Galaxy S26+, which Samsung has decided to discontinue due to its relatively low sales.
