Revolutionary Camera Overhaul: Is iOS 27 Getting an Advanced Mode?

Une refonte de l'appareil photo avec un mode avancé pour iOS 27 ?
Apple is reportedly planning a major redesign of its Camera app for iOS 27, based on information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The new interface is expected to be customizable with more sophisticated and numerous controls. By default, the app will maintain its current settings, but users will have the ability to adjust and customize the controls presented to them. These controls will be organized into groups called widgets, which will be accessible from the bottom of the app.

In the Photo mode, for instance, the advanced options panel will include depth of field and exposure controls. The widgets will be divided into three categories: “Basic,” “Manual,” and “Settings.” Gurman also notes that users will be able to customize the controls for the timer and photo styles, and there will be new grid and level options available.

Another interface change involves the relocation of the button that displays the available commands. Currently located at the top right of the screen, it will be moved to the right of the shutter button. Gurman also highlights that Apple will introduce a new “Siri mode” to the camera, enabling access to visual intelligence features. This mode will enhance its capabilities with new functions such as the ability to scan nutritional labels on food packaging, phone numbers, and addresses, or to create virtual versions of event tickets and membership cards. The unveiling of iOS 27, which will likely include the integration of Gemini and the upgraded version of Siri, is set for June 8 at the WWDC.
