New Siri Mode in iPhone’s Camera App
According to Mark Gurman’s sources at Bloomberg, iOS 27 is expected to introduce a “Siri Mode” in the iPhone’s Camera app. Apple plans to incorporate its visual intelligence feature into the camera application, which is currently triggered by a long press of the camera button. With this mode enabled, the Apple Intelligence logo would simply appear on the shutter button. This new feature would be available for both photo and video capturing, and it would be compatible with Portrait and Panorama modes.
Exciting Additional Features on the Horizon
Several new features are set to debut alongside this update, as identified by MacRumors a couple of weeks ago. These include the ability to scan nutritional labels on food packaging to get detailed information about calorie and nutrient content, the capability to scan phone numbers or addresses found on business cards and other printed materials, and the ability to digitize and create virtual versions of event tickets and membership cards. The unveiling of iOS 27, which is expected to finally integrate Gemini and the new version of Siri, is scheduled for June 8 at the WWDC.
