Redmi Launches Jean-Covered Smartphone With Bose Speaker: Bold Fashion Meets Tech!

The latest high-end smartphone from Redmi, the K90 Pro Max, stands out with its innovative features, including a denim-like coating and a Bose speaker.

Gone are the days when each smartphone had a distinct look. Nowadays, if you line up 10 different smartphones of roughly the same size, it would be challenging to pinpoint which company made which. This trend can be attributed to a simple realization: attempts to be original have often failed. A prime example is LG. In the 2010s, LG introduced innovations like the leather back of the LG G4, the curved screen of the G Flex, and the modular G5. However, by 2021, LG ceased manufacturing smartphones.

Yet, designs that dare to be different haven’t entirely vanished. The British company Nothing is evidence of this. While not quite reaching the same level of uniqueness, the brand Redmi is also striving to offer something fresh. On the Chinese social network Weibo, Redmi has unveiled official renders of its upcoming flagship, the K90 Pro Max, and one version stands out due to its unusual back cover.

A Unique Back Cover Distinguishes This Redmi Premium Smartphone

As seen in the photo accompanying this article, the Redmi K90 Pro Max features a back that mimics denim, the material used for jeans and jackets. More specifically, it’s a “nano-leather” texture. The manufacturer claims that this cover is dust-resistant, anti-yellowing, and UV-resistant, and is also very easy to clean, according to Redmi. But there’s another eye-catching detail in the images.

Near the camera module, to the right of the sensors, there is a meshed ring with “Sound by Bose” inscribed in the center. This could suggest a dedicated speaker on the rear of the smartphone, potentially making it a truly unique model. However, Redmi has not commented on this feature, and it might just be an aesthetic embellishment to highlight the collaboration between the two brands. The K90 Pro Max has not yet been given a release date, and it’s unlikely to be sold outside of China.
