The iPad 11’s Elegance Lies in Its Simplicity, but Act Fast to Secure Your Prime Day Savings
The simplicity of the iPad 11 is its true charm, yet this Prime Day deal won’t be around indefinitely.

Owning an iPad comes with its advantages, but I’ve always questioned whether the pricier iPad Pro and iPad Air models justify their cost. Not when the basic iPad 11 provides nearly the same utility, even if it’s a bit less cutting-edge.
Particularly during promotional events like Amazon Prime Day, the affordability of Apple’s standard iPad stands out. Currently, the iPad 11-inch model is available for only $279 on Amazon. This special pricing won’t last indefinitely, so you’ll need to act quickly to secure the iPad 11 at this unprecedented low price.
While the higher-end iPads pack numerous additional features and robust hardware, making them almost competitive with laptops, they have never replaced my laptop. Nonetheless, I appreciate the capabilities of a tablet, especially given its larger screen size compared to a smartphone.
The 11-inch display of the iPad provides ample space for streaming movies and TV shows, and for reading books or comics without the need to compress content to fit a smaller, phone-sized screen. It does experience some glare under intense light, but it’s never been significant enough to disrupt my viewing or reading.
Additionally, the iPad’s compatibility with the Apple Pencil (USB-C) allows me to indulge in handwriting, offering a break from typing on a keyboard. It’s not identical to writing on paper, but it’s considerably more convenient. It also facilitates drawing and annotating directly on the screen. For those who prefer typing, the Magic Keyboard Folio is an excellent accessory to consider, as it provides an alternative to the basic touchscreen keyboard.
Another aspect I appreciate about the iPad 11 is its retention of Touch ID via a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, a rare feature in newer Apple products that often favor Face ID. If you weren’t aware of it, you might never notice it, and it certainly avoids the need for a screen notch or Dynamic Island.
Together with casual web browsing and access to everything the App Store offers, the iPad 11 meets all my needs. That’s why I find the most affordable model so appealing, especially at the current $279 price tag on Amazon. But with Prime Day drawing to a close soon, it’s wise to take advantage of this deal while it’s still available.
