Upcoming Apple TV 4K Update Scheduled for This Fall
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has recently confirmed that the highly anticipated update to the Apple TV 4K is expected to be released this fall. The debut of this new version was delayed for several months due to setbacks related to the latest Siri version, which is set to be unveiled at the WWDC on June 8 and incorporated into tvOS 27, launching in September. The update is said to include a more advanced chip, likely the A17 Pro with 8 GB of RAM, enhancing its capability to support Apple Intelligence. Additionally, it might feature the N1 chip for managing Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and Thread network connections.
Potential New Features in the Siri Remote
Gurman also reveals that the new Apple TV 4K may come with an updated Siri Remote. The specifics of what changes or improvements have been made to the remote remain undisclosed. However, Gurman suggests that its design might remain the same. If there is to be a notable new feature in the remote, it could include the integration of the U2 chip for precise geolocation, similar to that used in AirTags.
