Apple revealed its new iPad mini A20 Pro yesterday, and pre-orders are set to begin this Wednesday at 18:10 CET, with the device becoming available on Friday, November 6. That unusually specific start time has many observers thinking it ties into further announcements planned for the week. Apple has invited the press to a “Pro and tell” event in Los Angeles this Wednesday, and, according to Mark Gurman, the company is likely to play a short presentation video after which pre-orders will open.

Apple used a similar approach back in March. That period featured three days of announcements that culminated with the introduction of the MacBook Neo. For that rollout, Apple organized press viewings in New York, London and Shanghai: attendees watched a brief video presentation, and pre-orders for the week’s products began at 15:15 local time. This week’s event is limited to Los Angeles, which helps explain the later start time for Paris. Note that the time difference with California is only eight hours this week because France switched to winter time a few days before the United States: 10:00 in Los Angeles corresponds to 18:00 in Paris.

Following Monday’s iPad mini reveal, an iMac powered by the M6 chip is expected to be shown this afternoon at 14:00 (the same slot as yesterday). That desktop update should arrive with new color options and possibly a redesigned Magic Mouse. It’s also likely that Apple will introduce a 14-inch MacBook Pro fitted with an M6 chip, potentially leaving room for the much-anticipated MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen to be highlighted on Wednesday.

Remember that this revamped MacBook Pro is not intended to replace the existing lineup but to sit alongside it at a higher price point. Apple would reportedly reuse the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors for the new model while unveiling a lighter chassis with a beefed-up hinge. The machine would sport larger OLED touch displays—about a tenth of an inch bigger—with slimmer bezels and replace the notch with a Dynamic Island. (More details have been circulated.)
