However, the year is far from over as more announcements are expected throughout the fall. Apple sometimes holds a second event in late October or early November, though it may also opt for simpler press releases tied to updates in its online store depending on the significance it wishes to attribute to certain launches. Here are some of the potential announcements we can anticipate for the remainder of the year.
The first products equipped with the M5 chip are expected to debut in 2025. The MacBook Pro M5 might face a delay until early next year, but the iPad Pro M5 is still anticipated and might include an additional front-facing camera. An update to the Apple Vision Pro is also rumored, although it’s uncertain which chip it will use: while many speculate the M5 chip, there have also been tests with an M4 chip following the current M2.
Additionally, Apple plans to introduce a new Apple TV model with the A17 Pro chip, which will support Apple Intelligence, as well as a new HomePod mini featuring an updated chip, improved audio quality, and new colors. Both devices are expected to incorporate the new Apple N1 chip, responsible for managing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread network functionalities. The HomePod mini 2 might also support Apple Intelligence by leveraging the computational power of a nearby Apple TV.
More than four years after their initial release, Apple is set to launch a new generation of AirTags. These will include a new chip that enhances location tracking accuracy over short distances, extends Ultra Wideband range up to 60 meters (from the current 15 meters), and improves battery life. Apple also aims to enhance the security of these trackers, making it harder to disable their built-in speakers.
Looking ahead to early 2026, the year could be particularly eventful, especially if the launch of the MacBook Pro M5, originally scheduled for this fall, is indeed postponed. Recent rumors suggest this upcoming model might be the first to include a cellular option, a feature previously expected in the M6 generation redesign. Following the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air M5 could be introduced alongside an entirely new entry-level MacBook equipped with the A18 Pro chip and a 12.9-inch display, priced more affordably than today’s MacBook Air. Around the same time, a new Studio Display might also be unveiled.
In the spring, Apple might reveal the 17th-generation iPhone with the A19 chip (it’s unclear if the 16th-generation will remain available at a reduced price), as well as a new entry-level iPad with the A18 chip, an iPad Air M4, and possibly a redesigned iPad mini featuring the A19 Pro chip and an OLED display. Spring could also see the launch of Apple’s new home automation device under homeOS, potentially resembling a HomePod mini with a detachable screen, equipped with the much-anticipated new version of Siri set for iOS 26.4.
