The latest release candidates for iOS and iPadOS version 18.5 have been rolled out to iPhones and iPads. This is the final step before the official release expected next week. This update coincides with the upcoming release of the Pride 2025 wristband, which will be accompanied by a new wallpaper and watch face available on iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches.
The 18.5 update itself doesn’t introduce many significant changes: there are minor tweaks to the Mail app and an enhancement related to the eSIM feature from Free. tvOS 18.5 is also nearly complete, with even fewer noticeable changes.
Release notes include:
- A new Pride Harmony wallpaper
- Notifications for parents when the Screen Time passcode is entered on a child’s device
- The “Buy with iPhone” feature for purchasing content through the Apple TV app on third-party devices
- A fix for an issue where the Apple Vision Pro app might show a black screen
- Support for satellite features provided by carriers, available on all iPhone 13 models. For more details visit: https://support.apple.com/122339
