Figma has announced that its platform and tools are now fully available in French. The interface has been translated, ergonomics have been tailored to local usage, and French-speaking support is available to assist with the rollout. The service became available starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Figma’s Interface and Support Now Available in French
In a press release, Figma stated that the French translation of its platform encompasses the entire product, with specific attention to usage details such as formats and labels. The company aims to minimize barriers for non-English speaking teams and expand its tool’s accessibility to a broader audience within predominantly French-speaking businesses and public organizations. “Language is at the heart of collaboration,” said Lucie Bordelais, General Manager of Figma France.
We are thrilled to provide a fully localized Figma experience to our users in France (…) By launching the French version, we are breaking down barriers and opening up the design process to more people, whether they are designers, developers, or leaders.
In France, Figma already has a strong user base. Companies such as Accor, Decathlon, Orange, and Photoroom are among its clients. The company also notes that a vast majority of CAC 40 companies use the platform and that daily usage involves tens of thousands of modified files.

Product Strategy Accelerates Around AI and Collaboration
This localization is part of a dynamic market for Figma in France. It’s worth noting that the Friends of Figma communities existed in France even before the company formally established a presence in the country, now boasting nearly 3,500 members. Additionally, the past year has been marked by numerous product developments. The company is focusing on AI and the seamless integration between design and development. Figma Make, unveiled earlier this year, allows for the creation of interactive prototypes using textual instructions. This tool demonstrates the company’s commitment to simplifying workflows and bringing different professions closer together.
At the beginning of the year, Lucie Bordelais outlined on BDM a clear ambition to make design more accessible and collaborative. She emphasized that “everyone can be creative” and that Figma should serve as a meeting point between disciplines. In line with this, the integration of Figma with ChatGPT, the enhancement of DevMode for technical teams, and the expansion towards Google’s Gemini extensions confirm a product direction focused on augmented collaboration.
