Apple Unveils Enchanté and Enterprise Assistant: Meet the New Internal Chatbots!

Enchanté et Enterprise Assistant, deux chatbots internes d'Apple
As Siri is set to transform into a chatbot with the release of iOS 27 this coming September, positioning itself as a direct competitor to ChatGPT, Apple has reportedly already developed two chatbots specifically for its employees, according to sources from MacWorld.

The first of these is called Enchanté and has been in deployment since November 2025. Featuring an interface that closely resembles that of ChatGPT, this app serves as an internal assistant primarily for developers and engineers. It is designed to “assist them in generating ideas, developing projects, proofreading their documents, and even answering general knowledge questions.” Due to security concerns, Apple prohibits the use of ChatGPT internally, thus creating a chatbot that operates on company-approved models, running either locally or on private servers. This chatbot combines elements from Apple Foundation Models, Claude, and Gemini.

With a high level of privacy and security, this application allows employees to upload documents, images, and files for analysis. Some sources have indicated that the app can also access files stored on Macs to retrieve answers.

According to an internal memo from Apple, Enchanté is not only a testing platform but also a daily support tool for employees. It incorporates a database of Apple’s internal documentation and guidelines and is utilized across various departments, including engineering, design, marketing, and management.

The second chatbot is named Enterprise Assistant and is tailored for executive employees. Built entirely on Apple’s AI models, it centralizes the company’s knowledge base, particularly incorporating a database of Apple’s internal policies. Employees can “inquire about anything from leadership roles and company conduct codes to health benefits, leave policies, and technical setup instructions, like configuring Apple’s VPN on an iPhone.”

Both chatbots include features that allow users to provide feedback on the quality of the responses offered. This feedback mechanism enables Apple to refine its systems and is likely part of its preparations for the launch of Siri’s public chatbot this fall.
