At Computex 2025, Acer introduced two new Iconia tablets that run on Android, targeting consumers who are budget-aware and in search of new Android tablets.
The Iconia V11 and V12 debut with the Android 15 OS, equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and supported by up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM.
Based on the European pricing (with no details yet on U.S. and U.K. pricing), the V12 is priced at €289 and the V11 at €229, positioning these as affordable mid-range contenders likely to compete on lists of the best budget tablets.

What does your investment bring? Acer has equipped these tablets with 11- and 12-inch displays featuring a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 2K resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Both models boast an aluminum body, with the V12 tipping the scales at 595g (1.3 pounds), and the V11 slightly lighter at 500g (1.1 pounds).
Both models come with an iPad-style magnetic folio case that also serves as a kickstand offering three different viewing angles.
In addition to the magnetic folio case, Acer offers an optional stylus for sale separately. These tablets are available in a single color, a pleasant “mist green”.
Each device includes 256GB of internal storage with the capability to expand up to 1TB using a microSD card.
Acer promises that the integrated 8,000mAh batteries will provide up to 10 hours of battery life, though this will need to be verified in independent tests.
For cameras, there’s an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, which we will evaluate more closely in our review.
The tablets support USB fast charging, and include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. A 4G LTE model of the Iconia V11 is available for those who need mobile network connectivity.
Comparative Analysis
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 currently sells for under $200 on Amazon, offering a 10.4-inch 2,000 x 1,200 screen and a Snapdragon 662 processor. It’s a solid choice for Android users looking for an entry-level tablet. Meanwhile, the 11-inch iPad (10th generation) is priced at about $321 on Amazon following an 8% discount, making it a top contender for the best affordable tablet currently available.
Acer’s new Iconia tablets are part of a broader array of products the company is showcasing at Computex this year. Keep an eye on Tom’s Guide for ongoing coverage directly from the event.
