Samsung Sets Launch Date for the Ultra-Thin, Lightweight Galaxy S25 Edge: Find Out When!

The global launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung’s sleek and lightweight premium smartphone, is just days away. Additionally, it has been revealed that it will feature a 200 MP camera sensor.

After months of anticipation, the unveiling of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is imminent. The device was first introduced in January as part of the Galaxy S25 series and later showcased at the MWC in Barcelona. Samsung has now announced that a launch event for the product will take place on May 13, 2025, at 9 AM in South Korea, corresponding to May 13, 2025, at 2 AM in our time zone.

Typically, Samsung schedules its launches at times more convenient for Western countries (mid-afternoon in the US and early evening in Europe). This time, by choosing a launch time that suits South Korea, the company suggests that this design-focused slim and light device may be primarily targeting the local market. However, this does not mean that the smartphone won’t be available in our region at all.

A 200 MP Camera for the Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung has clarified that the main sensor of the S25 Edge will have a 200 MP resolution. However, the sensor’s size is also an important factor in assessing the quality of a camera. As for the rest of the technical specifications, we will have to wait a few more days.
