How to use the Spatial Cropping feature with iOS 27
The Spatial Cropping feature enables users to alter the perspective of a photo by virtually changing the capture angle. According to the specialized media outlet Mac Rumors, the tool uses spatial data collected by the device at the time of capture, which it combines with AI to adjust the camera angle and reposition pixels.

To use Spatial Cropping, follow these steps:
- Open the Photos app,
- Select the photo you want to modify,
- Tap on the icon with three lines, located to the right of the Info button,
- Go to Tools,
- Select Reorient,
- Wait a few seconds during the preparation phase, then drag your finger to adjust the perspective. You can also use two fingers to rotate, enlarge, or shrink the image,
- Confirm the operation by pressing Reorient.
How to use the Correct feature with iOS 27
First appearing in the redesign of the Photos app on iOS 18, the Correct feature (originally Clean Up) allows users to remove an unwanted element from a photo by reconstructing the background using an AI model. This version has been enhanced to handle larger objects and now offers additional controls compared to the previous iteration, including a choice between two modes depending on the complexity of the image. The Quick mode uses a lighter model and produces results faster, while the High Quality mode is recommended for more detailed work, Apple notes. By remaining on Auto, the system selects the most suitable mode based on the complexity of the edit.
To remove an element from a photo using Correct, proceed as follows:
- Open the Photos app,
- Select the photo to modify,
- Tap on the icon with three lines, to the right of the Info button,
- Select Tools,
- Press Correct,
- Choose a mode from Auto, Quick, and High Quality, depending on the desired quality of treatment,
- Touch, circle, or draw a shape around the element to remove,
- Press Correct.
Usage limits for Apple Intelligence
The Cupertino company plans to set usage limits on certain Apple Intelligence features, including the photo editing tools Correct, Extend, and Spatial Cropping. Once a limit is reached, the feature will become accessible again after “a certain delay,” according to a help page. These ceilings will vary depending on the feature, the complexity of the request, or the system load. Apple indicates that expanded access will be offered for a fee “starting from the 2027 software versions.”
How to use the Enlarge feature with iOS 27
Like many AI-powered image generation tools, the iPhone now features a native capability to artificially enlarge a photo, extending its original boundaries. “The Extend tool intelligently enlarges images beyond their edges with realistic filling. This is useful for straightening a horizon, altering a photo’s format, or adding space around a subject,” Apple explains.

- Open the Photos app,
- Select the photo to enlarge,
- Click on the icon with three lines,
- Press Tools,
- Select Extend,
- Pinch to zoom out, or slide your finger left or right to expand the scene,
