Apple Hikes Prices: AppleCare+ Gets Costlier for Users

Following a recent price hike on some of its products at the end of June, Apple has now increased the cost of its AppleCare+ insurance policy this week. AppleCare+ extends the warranty from Apple and includes coverage for accidental damages, although a deductible is required.

For Mac devices, the price adjustments are as follows: the cost for a Mac mini has increased from 119€ to 129€, for an iMac or a Mac Studio from 179€ to 195€, for a MacBook Neo from 149€ to 165€, for a 13-inch MacBook Air from 219€ to 235€, for a 15-inch MacBook Air from 249€ to 265€, for a 14-inch MacBook Pro from 299€ to 315€, and for a 16-inch MacBook Pro from 429€ to 445€. This coverage spans three years.

In the realm of tablets, the pricing has seen adjustments as well: for the iPad and iPad mini, the price has risen from 79€ to 89€, for the 11-inch iPad Air from 89€ to 99€, for the 13-inch iPad Air from 109€ to 119€, for the 11-inch iPad Pro from 159€ to 169€, and for the 13-inch iPad Pro from 179€ to 189€. The coverage period for these devices is two years.

Interestingly, the price for the Apple Vision Pro contract has decreased from 429€ to 419€ for two years of coverage. Similarly, the price for AirPods has also been reduced, from 35€ to 29€ for the AirPods 4 and from 45€ to 39€ for the AirPods Pro 3. There have been no price changes for other Apple products, including the Apple TV at 29€ for three years, the HomePod mini at 15€, and the HomePod at 39€ for two years. However, Apple has indicated that further price increases are expected, particularly with the upcoming release of new iPhone and Apple Watch models this fall.
