Apple’s Financial Outlook and Future Product Launches
During Apple’s recent financial results announcement, CFO Kevan Parekh shared an optimistic outlook for the upcoming quarter, which includes the holiday season. Apple anticipates a revenue increase of 10% to 12% compared to the same period last year. However, Parekh cautioned that this forecast might mask some unevenness across different product lines. He specifically noted a projected decline in Mac sales: “With regards to the Mac, keep in mind that comparing against last year’s launches of the MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iMac M4 during the same quarter will be particularly challenging.”
Compared to last year’s back-to-back releases of the iMac, Mac Mini, and the M4 MacBook Pro series, this fall season saw only the introduction of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip. Parekh’s statement tempers expectations for those who might have hoped for a new Mac launch in December featuring macOS 26.2.
Looking ahead to early 2026, Apple is expected to unveil several new Mac products. The lineup could begin with the MacBook Pro featuring M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, potentially launching before the end of winter. While the exact timeline remains somewhat uncertain and should not stretch beyond spring, the Mac mini M5 and iMac M5 are also anticipated, along with the MacBook Air M5 around April. By summer, Apple may introduce the Mac Studio and Mac Pro equipped with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, possibly alongside two new displays, the Studio Display and Pro Display XDR.
