Mac Mini and Mac Studio Sold Out: What’s Next for Apple’s Desktop Line?

April 20, 2026

Certains Mac mini et Mac Studio maintenant indisponibles
Following a surge in wait times, certain high-memory configurations of the Mac mini and Mac Studio are now unavailable for order on the Apple Store, according to 9To5Mac. Specifically, the Mac mini M4 with 32 GB of RAM and the M4 Pro with 64 GB are no longer on offer. In the case of the Mac Studio, the M4 Max model with 128 GB and the M3 Ultra model with 256 GB have also sold out.

Previously, Apple had been showing extremely long delivery times—up to five months—but customers could still place orders for these high-spec models. This marks a new phase in Apple’s strategy to clear out inventory before the anticipated M5 generation models arrive, expected by this summer. According to Mark Gurman last month, the launch could happen in stages: Apple might release the Mac Studio slightly before the Mac mini, “around mid-year”. An update to the iMac, featuring new colors, would likely follow later.
