Xiaomi continues to innovate by introducing a smart blanket that can adjust temperatures during sleep.
Xiaomi has expanded its reach into every corner of our homes, from vacuum cleaners to air fryers, lamps, and fans. The company doesn’t put all its eggs in one basket and has quickly branched out beyond just smartphones. They aim to create a network of interconnected devices that enhance our daily lives. Xiaomi has recently expanded its product line to include a refrigerator and a washing machine.
The company has now taken a step further by launching a smart blanket. While it might seem like a superfluous gadget at first, this blanket could prove to be quite useful. It features a heating system capable of delivering up to 80 watts of power. Naturally, safety is a concern. An eight-level protection system is in place to guard against overheating, short-circuits, and overcharging.
Xiaomi’s Smart Blanket Adjusts to Your Temperature Needs
This blanket includes a smart temperature adjustment feature that fine-tunes the warmth it provides in real-time, ensuring optimal comfort during sleep. While it may consume a significant amount of electricity if used year-round, it becomes particularly practical during colder seasons, especially if the heating is turned off at night.

The blanket measures 1.8 x 0.8 meters, covering only one person. It is made from polyester in both the cover and the filling. Xiaomi notes that it is treated to be anti-mite and can help in dehumidifying the mattress through a high-temperature drying mode. It can be controlled via a mobile app, an included remote control, or voice commands through a smart assistant.
Xiaomi has begun accepting pre-orders for its Mijia connected blanket. It is priced at 179 yuan (approximately 22 euros) until October 22, after which it will cost 239 yuan (about 29 euros), the official price. Currently, the product is only available in China. While there may be challenges in getting approval for sale in Europe due to safety regulations, the possibility of it being launched in European markets cannot be ruled out.
