Siri AI Suggests a Break: When Conversations Drag On!

June 18, 2026

Si la conversation s'éternise, Siri AI peut inviter à faire une pause
With the advancements in Siri AI, Apple’s digital assistant has become more conversational, yet it remains strictly a tool and is not intended to be a companion. This was emphasized by Craig Federighi during an interview where he advised against flirting with Siri or sharing personal secrets with it, as the assistant is not designed to forge personal relationships. In an exploration of iOS 27’s source code, Aaron Perris discovered a message that prompts the user to take a break if the conversation goes on for too long, reminding them that they are interacting with a machine.

You have been talking for hours; consider taking a break. Siri is not a person, but it will be here when you are ready to continue.

The triggering of this message does not appear to be linked to any predefined time limit, indicating that more complex conditions may be used for its activation. It should be noted that initially, Siri AI will only be available in English. Furthermore, it will not be included in iOS and iPadOS 27 within the European Union, although it will be present in macOS, watchOS, and visionOS 27.
