Initially released only in English, Siri AI has expanded to additional languages with yesterday evening’s rollout of the 27.2 updates across Apple’s operating systems, now adding support for French, Korean, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese. In a press release highlighting this update, Apple also revealed plans to introduce four more languages before year’s end: Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese. These are expected to arrive with iOS 27.3 and related updates, which are slated for a December release and whose beta builds should appear soon. Earlier rumors had even suggested Apple Intelligence would land in China in December — but without Siri AI.

Apple has not provided any new information regarding its talks with the EU about making Siri AI available on platforms covered by the DMA. Although Siri AI became available as of last night, the assistant can only be used on the Mac and the Apple Vision Pro by European users. Its rollout to iPhone and iPad remains blocked, and that restriction also affects Apple Watch, Apple TV and the HomePod mini 2, since those devices depend on remote support from an iOS or iPadOS device.
