L’assistant IA de Photoshop débarque en bêta publique sur les versions web, iOS et Android

Adobe has expanded access to its AI assistant in Photoshop, now offering a public beta available on the web, iOS, and Android platforms. Subscribers are granted unlimited usage until April 9.

Initially introduced in a private beta during Adobe MAX in October 2025, the AI Assistant for Photoshop is now transitioning to a public beta version available today on web, iOS, and Android. Simultaneously, the image editor Firefly is introducing five new generative features, as stated in a company press release.

Photoshop: A Conversational Assistant for Editing Images via Descriptions

Widely released this Tuesday, the AI Assistant in Photoshop allows users to edit or modify image elements through natural language queries. This includes removing unwanted elements, changing backgrounds, adjusting colors, or modifying lighting—the possibilities are extensive. “You can choose to let the AI Assistant apply changes automatically or guide you step-by-step to learn throughout the process,” Adobe explains. On mobile devices, these requests can also be made via voice commands.

The web version of Photoshop also introduces a feature called AI Markup, also in public beta. Accessible from the taskbar, it allows users to draw directly on an image to target a specific area, then attach a text prompt. “For example, you can mark an area of the image, then enter a prompt to add flowers or mountains,” Adobe illustrates.

Here is a video preview of the feature:

For now, the AI assistant is limited to web and mobile versions. The desktop version has not been included in this rollout, and no timeline has been provided for its release.

Make the Most of It Before April 9.

In the web and mobile versions of Photoshop, subscribers can enjoy unlimited generations until April 9, 2026. The free version provides access to 20 generations.

Firefly: Five Generative Tools and Over 25 Partner Models

The image editor Firefly, which facilitates the retouching of both AI-generated and traditional images, is now enhanced with five new generative features:

  • Generative Fill,
  • Generative Removal,
  • Generative Extension,
  • Generative Enlargement,
  • Background Removal.

The platform now also offers access to more than 25 models developed by other generative AI entities, including Google’s Nano Banana 2, OpenAI’s GPT Image, Runway’s Gen-4.5, and Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.2 [pro]. Users can transition from generation to editing “without interrupting [their] creative flow,” Adobe details. “The new image editing features of Adobe Firefly are available globally today in the Firefly image editor, and Firefly users can currently enjoy unlimited generations,” it is noted.
