Linktree, a platform already utilized by over 50 million users worldwide according to the data on its official website, has become a staple tool for content creators for sharing multiple links via social profiles.
New Features Unveiled by Linktree
Social networks such as Instagram only allow a single link on profile pages, which has made Linktree an essential service. By offering a way to share multiple links through one simple URL, Linktree has established itself as a go-to resource, and is set to expand its capabilities with recent updates.
Although some of these new features are initially available only in the United States, it is expected that they will eventually be accessible globally.
1. Online Courses
Through a collaboration with Kajabi, Linktree will now enable the creation of online courses directly through a Linktree link. This addition offers a seamless experience for content creators as it does not require setting up a new account.
This feature not only helps in expanding an audience through free courses but also serves as a revenue stream through paid courses.
2. Digital Product Sales
While some content creators previously shared links to Shopify stores or other e-commerce platforms, this will no longer be necessary for certain products.
Linktree is introducing its own online store, initially limited to digital products, streamlining the process for creators to sell directly.
3. Introduction of Sponsored Links with Linktree Earn
Currently exclusive to the United States, the new feature, Linktree Earn, allows content creators to feature a selection of sponsored links on their profiles.
The process is straightforward: Linktree collaborates with partners like Hulu, a streaming service in the U.S., and compensates creators who facilitate sign-ups or online purchases through these links.
4. Promotion of Affiliate Links with Linktree Shops
Affiliate marketing is a favored monetization strategy among content creators, known for generating passive income. Similar to sponsored links, affiliate links earn revenue for creators when purchases or sign-ups are completed through them.
With Linktree Shops, U.S. creators can promote products from major brands such as Amazon or Target, earning money based on their audience’s engagement.
