The strap features an innovative magnetic system that seamlessly integrates with the iPhone 17 cases. I collaborated with a designer who used the information I provided. Theories propose that the strap includes a flexible metallic core, making it fully magnetic along its entire length. At the ends, polarized rings opposite to the strap lock the system with enhanced strength, ensuring a firm hold. This design allows for easy attachment and removal, doing away with traditional hooks or loops, making it ideal for those seeking convenience with their iPhone 17 cases.
In addition to this 3D preview, Majin also displays several color options that match those seen on Apple’s official cases. While all these straps are currently fabric-based, Majin Bu hints at potential silicone versions.
This year’s Apple cases for the iPhone 17 series are expected to feature a new addition that led to the development of this strap: they will have two notches on either side of the lower edge. These notches would allow the attachment of this strap, as well as a possible lanyard which has yet to be revealed. The iPhone 17 series and related accessories are set to be unveiled on September 9.
