“Get ready for excitement!” Apple is set to unveil its latest products live this Tuesday, September 9th at 7 PM during its annual keynote event. The iPhone 17 lineup will undoubtedly take center stage, but they will also be introducing other long-awaited accessories, some of which have been anticipated since last year. Here’s how you can watch the event live and what to expect from it.
Following last year’s somewhat disappointing “It’s Glowtime” event, Apple enthusiasts are eagerly gearing up for the iPhone 17 launch keynote. For those wishing to tune in live, Apple has provided multiple viewing options just like last year.
In addition to the Apple Events website and the Apple TV app, the tech giant will also broadcast the event live on its official YouTube channel, arguably the most user-friendly option. Simply visit the channel at the event’s scheduled time with virtually any internet-connected device and prepare to be amazed, as Apple promises. Here’s what to expect.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE APPLE KEYNOTE?
The iPhone 17 series is set to be the highlight of the show. Following the relatively lukewarm reception of the iPhone 16 and the underwhelming performance of Apple Intelligence in the US – with its absence noted in other markets –, the iPhone 17 is expected to bring several significant innovations.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be a focal point. This model, aimed at replacing the iPhone Plus, is designed to be ultra-thin and lightweight. It remains to be seen if it will outshine competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
The next generation iPhone Pro models are also rumored to undergo major design changes: the iconic camera block has been redesigned, now extending across the entire width of the back panel, similar to the Pixel phones. An eye-catching new orange color option has also been hinted at through several leaks. Additionally, the interface is expected to be revamped with iOS 26’s Liquid Glass.
Updates for the standard iPhone 17 are expected to be more modest, as if Apple is prioritizing its premium models: it is likely to retain 8GB of RAM, with no significant changes anticipated for the Dynamic Island or the rear camera setup.
This keynote will also likely introduce three new models of smartwatches, unlike last year when only the Apple Watch Series 10 was unveiled. The Apple Watch Series 11 could be crucial for Apple’s standing in the smartwatch market, but may disappoint if it does not deliver a significant performance leap with its new S11 chip, which is based on the same T8310 architecture as the S9 and S10 processors. However, it promises five exciting new features that could be game-changers.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3, anticipated since last year, is expected to finally be launched with several upgrades according to rumors: besides a large OLED display and an updated processor, the Ultra 3 might feature 5G connectivity and be the first Apple Watch with satellite communication capabilities, potentially reducing our reliance on smartphones by handling key tasks independently.
For the Apple Watch SE 3, the most affordable model, expectations are more modest: it might share the same chip as the upcoming Series 11, making it faster and more responsive, and it’s likely to see an improvement in its optical heart sensor.
On the audio accessory front, audiophiles can look forward to the new generation of high-end earbuds: the AirPods Pro 3. These are expected to maintain a similar design to their predecessors – released three years earlier – but will introduce three major features. Two will focus on health – a heart rate sensor and a temperature sensor –, a strategy that has previously proven successful for the Apple Watch. While the trial seems promising given increased user health awareness, the third major feature might not be available at launch but added in a later update.
