Apple Shakeup: Jeff Williams Steps Down as COO but Remains at the Tech Giant

August 5, 2025

Jeff Williams n'est plus directeur de l'exploitation mais reste chez Apple
Two weeks ago, Apple announced that Jeff Williams would step down as Chief Operating Officer at the end of July, with Sabih Khan set to take over the role. This transition has now been completed, as evidenced by the updated executive team page on Apple’s website. Sabih Khan, who previously held the position of Vice President of Operations at Apple, has been officially promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Meanwhile, Jeff Williams remains with the company, albeit in a new, less demanding role as Senior Vice President overseeing Design, the Apple Watch, and Health initiatives.

At 62, Jeff Williams, who expressed a desire to spend more time with his family, appears to have received a tailor-made position for the twilight of his career. This new role allows him to stay close to Sabih Khan, ensuring a smooth transition.
