Apple Plans Film Distribution Venture: Is a Cinema Revolution on the Horizon?

Apple envisagerait de créer sa société de distribution de films
Apple has its own production company for movies and TV series, named Apple Studios, yet it lacks a distribution arm. For the release of its movie F1 in France this week, Apple has partnered with Warner Bros, a subsidiary of Amazon, which will therefore receive a share of the film’s revenues. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is considering establishing a new subsidiary focused on the promotion and distribution of its theatrical releases with the aim, as always, of controlling the entire supply chain while reducing costs.

This possibility has reportedly been discussed at the highest levels of the company, though further details remain scarce at this time. It is inferred from the discussions that Apple might first want to gauge the success of F1, which appears to be off to a promising start at the box office, receiving generally positive reviews. However, it seems to face challenges in attracting a female audience, based on surveys conducted before its release.
