Apple is set to reveal the features of iOS 27 at the WWDC 2026 on June 8, including a highly anticipated overhaul of Siri through the integration of Gemini technology. In the meantime, Google has recently given a sneak peek of Android 17, showcasing numerous AI-driven features under the newly introduced Gemini Intelligence banner. These capabilities will be available on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models starting this summer, with a broader rollout expected by year’s end. While some features such as personalized or visual context are also being developed by Apple, others are new or extend the automation possibilities further.

Exploring the Features of Gemini Intelligence

The Gemini Intelligence suite includes a variety of innovative features. One notable capability is an auto-fill function that leverages information from a user’s Gmail account and photos for filling out forms. Another feature, named Rambler, eliminates speech disfluencies and understands then adapts voice dictation refinements. Additionally, there’s enhanced understanding of webpage content in Chrome, which enables the automation of actions across multiple pages, such as initiating a command on a website. The suite also introduces the automatic creation of custom widgets and visual context that can trigger more complex automations, such as converting a shopping list into a ready-to-checkout basket on an online store.
