Samsung suspend la mise à jour vers One UI 8, quel est le problème ?

Samsung Halts One UI 8 Update for Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S22 Models

For several weeks now, Samsung has been actively rolling out the One UI 8 update across a range of models. The transition to One UI 8 has been relatively smoother for Samsung, particularly because it does not introduce a plethora of changes. This comes as a relief following the more tumultuous release of One UI 7, which not only took a long time to deploy but also encountered significant bugs. Although the rollout of One UI 8 seems to be under better control, it has not been without its issues.

In early October, the Galaxy S22 series started to receive the One UI 8 update. However, just a few days later, Samsung paused the update for the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra models. The specific reasons for this suspension have not been disclosed, but it is likely that Samsung discovered an issue with the update and decided to temporarily withdraw it to reissue it later with a fix. For users who have already updated to One UI 8, there are no changes; they can only hope that they are not affected by the problem identified.

Potential Issue with One UI 8 for Galaxy S24 and S22?

Following the suspension of the update for the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S24 series has also seen a halt in the deployment of One UI 8. This is particularly surprising because these devices had been running the stable version of the update since September. It appears that it took Samsung several weeks to identify a bug significant enough to stop the update for these models. The Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE are all affected by this suspension.

Currently, the withdrawal of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S24 series seems to be limited to South Korea, a market Samsung often prioritizes. However, there is a possibility that the update might be pulled in Europe as well. It is worth noting that One UI 8 has been reinstated for the Galaxy S22 and S22+ in some regions, but not in South Korea, where the update remains frozen globally for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
