Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Controversial Feature Divides Users, But It’s Good News!

The spec sheet of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is swirling with conflicting rumors. Every year, the choice of processor becomes a contentious issue among users, varying significantly from one region to another. However, it seems that the upcoming flagship might be taking a bold step in this regard.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Processor Could Be a Point of Contention

The latest leaks regarding the processor choice have not been met with much excitement. By the end of September, it was rumored that Samsung might equip all its Galaxy S26 models with the new in-house Exynos 2600 processor. If this rumor turns out to be true, it would mark the first time in four years that the range has unified under one type of processor. Shortly afterward, further rumors supported this theory.

However, the situation regarding the Ultra model remains uncertain. Just last week, some sources claimed the flagship would exclusively feature a Snapdragon processor. Yet, a recent report from the Korean media outlet Yna has dashed these hopes. According to their information, Samsung has indeed decided to use the Exynos 2600 in its most powerful smartphone. But is this really bad news? Maybe not.

According to Yna, Samsung’s new processor is reportedly six times more efficient at AI tasks than Apple’s A19 chip. It is also said to be 15% more powerful in CPU performance and 75% in GPU performance compared to its predecessor. Even when compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Exynos 2600 is reportedly 30% more powerful in AI capabilities and 29% better in GPU performance.
