One UI 8.5 Beta Release Date Announced: Get Your Smartphones Ready!

December 18, 2025

One UI 8.5 : on connaît la date de déploiement de la première bêta, préparez vos smartphones !

It appears highly likely that the first beta of One UI 8.5 will be released in just a few days. Leakers are converging on an early December release date, and if Samsung’s past release schedules are anything to go by, this speculated date seems accurate.

Lately, there’s been a lot of buzz around One UI 8.5, with leakers eager to share details about the enhancements and new features of the upcoming software update. There are several notable updates to look forward to: a new lock screen, improved user interface, and advanced AI features, among others. The anticipation building around the update suggests its rollout is right around the corner. Indeed, it is.

This time, it’s leaker Tarun Vats shedding more light on the subject. On X (formerly known as Twitter), he mentions that his sources have provided a deployment date for the second beta of One UI 8.5. While this might seem surprising, it actually gives us a good indication of when the first beta will hit our Galaxy smartphones.

Here’s When You Can Install the One UI 8.5 Beta on Your Galaxy Smartphone

According to Tarun Vats, Samsung is set to commence the rollout of One UI 8.5 on December 8th. This phase will continue for several weeks. The leaker’s source states that the second beta will be available from December 22nd, while the third and final beta will roll out around January 5th. However, to install the first beta, you’ll need to be in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, or Germany.

For context, the first beta of One UI 7.0 was launched on December 5, 2024. Thus, the upcoming December 8th rollout date for the One UI 8.5 beta seems quite plausible. Tarun Vats’ timeline would allow Samsung to align the update with the launch of the Galaxy S26, which is expected in early February. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 models will be the first to receive the update.
