This evening, Apple unveiled the Release Candidate version of macOS 15.5, marking the final phase in the series of beta versions that began last month. Unless significant bugs emerge, this iteration is scheduled for release to the general public next week. Additionally, Apple introduced the Release Candidate versions of iOS 18.5 and watchOS 11.5, which include several updates, as well as tvOS 18.5 and visionOS 2.5, though these latter two do not feature any major changes.
In contrast to iOS 18.5, which will introduce a few minor new features for end users, macOS 15.5 appears to be more conservative with its updates. Apple has stated that this update will bring “enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates for your Mac.”
