The design closely mirrors that of the rumored foldable iPhone, including a similar rear camera setup (though the iPhone foldable is expected to have only two cameras), a centrally located punch-hole for the external display’s webcam, and another punch-hole at the top right corner for the internal display’s webcam. Unlike its Apple counterpart, which reportedly will not include Face ID due to the bulkiness of the system, the foldable iPhone is expected to feature biometric authentication through Touch ID integrated into the phone’s side button.
This screen format is likely to become more popular in the coming months: Samsung is also reportedly working on a similar design for its upcoming Z Fold 8 Wide.
