With account hacking increasing by 52% and wire transfer fraud by 170%, French small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are prime targets for cybercriminals. An OpinionWay survey for Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr in 2025 revealed that 80% of these enterprises admit they are unprepared to handle such threats. In response, the platform introduced MalletteCyber Pro, a ready-to-use tool for organizing corporate awareness workshops, which was showcased on June 25, 2026, during the Grand Assembly of Entrepreneurs.
A Tool Designed for Cybersecurity Beginners
The MalletteCyber Pro is aimed at workshop facilitators (communication managers, office managers, digital coordinators) who want to educate their teams about cybersecurity without being experts themselves. The content is deliberately non-technical, using real-life scenarios to present threats, visual memos for good practices, and games to solidify theoretical concepts.
The toolkit includes four distinct components:
- A 40-page educational booklet featuring reflex cards on common threats like phishing, account hacking, wire transfer fraud, and ransomware, and practical memos on password management, backups, and remote working.
- An illustrated poster summarizing threats and best practices, designed for projection or display in a room.
- A card game linking situations to threats, risks, and best practices, suitable for groups of up to six people.
- A summary infographic to be handed out to participants at the end of the workshop.
How to Conduct a Workshop Using MalletteCyber Pro?
The educational booklet suggests a four-step process for the workshop, which can be adapted based on the context and the participants’ level:
- Pre-workshop preparation by the facilitator using the reflex and practical cards.
- Presentation of common threats using the illustrated poster.
- Practical application with the card game: participants link situations to threats, identify risks, and choose appropriate best practices.
- Distribution of the summary infographic to each participant to reinforce the practices to adopt.
The card game emphasizes cooperation over competition, aiming to facilitate discussions among coworkers about real professional situations rather than assessing their knowledge.
Two Available Versions of the MalletteCyber Pro
The toolkit is available for free on Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr under the Etalab 2.0 open license. Two versions are offered:
- A “ready-to-use” version, printable in A4 format, with some elements requiring cutting after printing.
- A version designed for production by a fablab, craftsman, or local printer, complete with cutting lines and a manufacturing guide.
What Does MalletteCyber Pro Offer to Non-Technical Teams?
For a communication or marketing manager in an SME, MalletteCyber Pro solves a practical problem: how to approach cybersecurity with non-technical teams without a dedicated training budget and without hiring an external provider? The toolkit provides a comprehensive framework (content, educational progression, visual aids) that doesn’t require prior cybersecurity expertise from the facilitator.
The toolkit is adaptable to various professional contexts. Distributed under an open license, it allows customization with your company’s logo or supplementation with examples specific to your industry. According to Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr, nearly 28,000 companies sought assistance from the platform in 2025, underscoring the ongoing need for corporate awareness efforts.
